Sxm Beer B.V. is St. Maarten’s largest Brewery. The company is quality driven and strives to make the people of St. Maarten/ St. Martin proud of their world class beers. Our award winning Brewmaster and his team have what it takes to craft some of the finest beers available in the Caribbean.
It was 1996 when co-founder Scott Brockie first visited St. Maarten. Scott had asked around the island if he could get a local St. Maarten Beer. The answer usually was that there were other Caribbean beers available but none that were actually brewed on the island. Scott fell in love with the island and came back with his family at least once a year for the years following and always had a dream of starting a local brewery on the island. It wasn’t until years later and only after meeting with his good friend and now co-founder Pascal de Lacaze that the two of them decided to proceed with the dream. They registered the company under the name SXM Beer B.V. and started to invest and build the brewery. Although they had huge setbacks because of hurricane Irma, the two were determined to follow through on the plan and make their dream happen. Today the dream is a reality.
